Government Delays Response to Staffing Lawsuit

On Tuesday of this week, lawyers with the US Department of Justice requested a one week extension to file a response to the staffing lawsuit filed by LeadingAge and the American Health Care Association (AHCA). As a matter of professional courtesy, LeadingAge and AHCA have supported this extension and the judge is expected to grant the request. We are now looking at August 9 for the government’s response.
