Does your community have a dress code and/or cell phone policy for the resident dining room(s)? If so, would you mind sharing your policy?

We have casual dress code in all of our dining venues. We don’t restrict cell phone use at this time.

We do not have a formal policy on either subject. We do have a Suggested Dress code and Cell phone rule, See attached.

Our formal dining has a dress code- no shorts. We do not currently have a cell phone policy in dining.

Here are our policies:

The following attire is recommended:
v Lunch – casual attire;
v Dinner – casual attire; no shorts
v Sunday Brunch & Special Holidays – New Year’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas
· Men: sport or dress shirt with collar and slacks
· Women: dress, skirt, or slacks with blouse or sweater
v Picnic Holidays – Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day
· casual attire; shorts OK
Please ensure that your guests also follow these attire guidelines when dining.

The following attire is required:
v Men: Suit jacket with slacks
v Women: Nice dress, pantsuit or slacks with dress blouse
When hosting guests, please ensure that your guests also follow these attire guidelines.

Cell Phones
Please do not use your cell phone. Please step outside or into the community center lobby to make or receive phone calls.

We do have a dress code for different departments. We also have a zero tolerance for cell phones in the resident dining rooms.

The dining room dress code varies from community to community. The Executive Directors work with the residents association to establish these rules. We do not have a cell phone policy but it is a practice to not use cell phones in the dining rooms.

Our residents create and enforce the dress code in the dining room. I’ve attached their guidelines. We have not yet felt the need to create a cell phone policy for the dining room.

Formal Seating Area:
Business casual attire, with jackets, is required at all times. Ties are optional, but encouraged. Comparable attire is required for ladies (late afternoon attire).

Informal Seating Area:
Business casual attire is required at all times. A jacket is not required, though always appropriate with comparable attire for ladies. The following are not appropriate: jeans and other denim wear, shorts, t-shirts, or athletic wear.

We do not have a cell phone policy at this time.
