At my previous location it was an average of 735 sq feet per housekeeper for occupied units. I don’t know the stats for unoccupied or common areas. The number could vary based on unit configuration. The housekeepers were expected to do 800 sq feet for the largest units. This was 3 hour when done weekly.

Hope this helps.

According to how much square feet each unit is decides on how much time they get to clean.

Here’s some example of square feet and cleaning times:

1-Bedroom 521-856 sq./ft-1hr 30min.

2 Bedroom 996-1148 sq./ft- 2 hrs.

Villas-1260-1769 sq./ft-2 hrs.

On a normal day a housekeeper will clean anywhere from 3 to 4 homes according to the size.

If a housekeeper is cleaning villas they clean 3 a day.
We base these times on the fact that they have 2 15 minute breaks and 30 minute lunch.

If I can be of any other assistance please let me know.

Hope you are doing well. We have a staff of 5 housekeepers and 2 Floor Techs. We have 125 apartments and they are cleaned every other week. Our average square footage is 756. Our staff clean 62 apartments a week. We do not have a time limit for staff to follow. Honestly some residents keep their apartments very clean and require very little. Others may take much longer. We only clean 6 of our 42 cottages and those average 1,800 sq ft. The cottage residents are allotted 2 hours every week. The cottages can opt out of cleaning on our a la cart menu of services and many have hired their own cleaning folks. Most of our cottage folks are unbundled for services.
