Yes, we have an annual Artist (Employee) Service Recognition Program. It's generally held in February. The program last about an hour. Employees with five or more years of service as of January 31st receive a Service Recognition certificate with their name and years of service on the certificate and a gift card valued at $25. For each 5-year milestone as of January 31, the employee receives an additional $25 gift card. We call each name individually,( the name is also seen on an overhead screen) and the employee comes forward to receive a hug/handshake from our Executive Leadership (President, CFO and VP of Health Services). Employees really get excited, it's a fun time!!!!!

We have an annual employee appreciation event. We serve finger foods and drinks. We invited all staff to auditorium. All senior managers attend and present the tenure awards and gifts to each staff member as they walk across the stage. Staff cheers for each one. We give awards at 3, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and so far 30 years. Each of these groups get a tenure pin to wear and the later years get to pick a present out from a catalogue. The longer employed, the nicer the present. The event is well like and well attended by staff.

Each year we have a make your own sundae March Madness event, we have a picnic for staff, we have a potluck lunch for thanksgiving and a breakfast during the end of year holiday time. We also do other staff celebrations on a spontaneous basis or to celebrate a milestone. We always set aside food for the 2nd and 3rd shifts before we serve the rest of the staff. If the food cannot be kept well, we will order a separate order to be delivered during the third shift.

Each year we have a July Annual Board Meeting where a primary focus is recognition of staff and residents of our community that have reached milestones. For staff, we recognize anyone that has hit a 5, 10, 15, 20, etc. service milestone. We send staff personalized invitations for they and their family members to attend the event. We track them all down and take their pictures before hand. Pictures of staff with a listing of which department they are in are printed in a program that is handed out to everyone that attends the meeting, their pictures are also displayed on a powerpoint before the meeting begins. During the meeting, each staff member is called by milestone group. They shake hands with the CEO of the organization and whomever is the leading Administrator for the area they work in. Each staff is presented with a flower, a packet that contains an enlarged photo of themselves, a certificate of achievement, a service pin, and a small check based on years served as a monetary gift.

Our residents are also recognized at this event for anyone that has lived at our facility for 20 years or longer. Residents are presented with a red rose that is distributed to them by their social worker representative for the campus. Their pictures are taken beforehand and are also printed in the program.

Afterwards, our Dining Department hosts a huge buffet of food that staff, their family, and residents all can participate in.

This is a very meaningful event for staff. I often find staff stopping by my office asking if this will be the year they make the cut off date to be recognized.
