Part 1:  Introduction (Members Only)

Discuss the changes to Medicare A reimbursement beginning on October 1, 2019 under the Patient Driven Payment Model and considerations to evaluation of care based on the clinical characteristics of the resident and their needs.  The transition from RUG IV to PDPM and things to consider in order to be prepared and successful in the new world shifting toward value based care will be discussed. 

 

Part 2:  Intensive

Take a deep dive look into PDPM and what it will take to prepare in the last 3 months leading up to the PDPM transition, execution process, education and success beyond October 1st, 2019.  Financial impact, high level strategies and education needed to be on the winning side of PDPM will also be discussed.

Kristy Yoskey, MOT, OTR/L, RAC-CT

With more than 10 years of experience in rehab management, Kristy has worked with dozens of clients to optimize operational efficiency, clinical program development, and compliance integrity. Kristy has presented in several regional markets to share up-to-date information and insights as well as her thought- provoking approach to meeting the challenges of health care reform initiatives. Her philosophy encourages proactive communication, open collaboration, and honest dialogue regarding safe care transitions and outcomes.

 

Dana Montenaro, RN, RAC-CT, LNHA
VP of Clinical Reimbursement

Dana’s skill for developing valuable resources and team-driven education opens her passion to the health care world. With more than 15 years of experience in rehab management, Dana’s expertise includes reimbursement oversight and auditing, utilization of of Medicare and Medicaid case mix, and assisting operations with education of MDS and Quality Measures. She is a Registered Nurse in the state of GA, FL, and AL and has experience with payment reform and healthcare reform that spans the coming updates and prepares for the future of the industry. Her passion for healthcare and payment reform shines is coupled with southern charm as education and training are at the fore-front of her goals as a successful team is built on comprehensive collaboration and program development.
