Nursing Home Reporting on COVID-19
We continue to hear a number of questions about reporting requirements and even more concerns about issues with NHSN enrollment. We are sharing concerns with CMS. While CDC will be the body to address the actual enrollment issues, we feel it is important for CMS to understand that the process is not running smoothly and that providers want to comply but may be unable to do so for reasons beyond their control. Please let us know what challenges you may be encountering with the enrollment process.

StoryCorps Connect Toolkit
A few weeks ago, we spoke with Dave Isay from StoryCorps on a 3:30 LeadingAge national update call to talk about our collaboration to bring StoryCorps Connect to LeadingAge member communities across the country. LeadingAge worked with StoryCorp to create a toolkit specifically for older adults. The toolkit is on the LeadingAge website and the link is LeadingAge.org/storycorps-connect

Practical Tools for Staff Conversations
In an effort to help our leaders inspire and motivate their teams, here is today’s short tool:

In The Second Mountain, David Brooks writes that, “Every once in a while, you meet people who radiate joy. They are kind, tranquil, delighted by small pleasures and grateful for large ones. They are not perfect, but they live for others and not for themselves. They are interested in you and take delight in your good.”
