Tom Akins
serves as President and CEO of LeadingAge North Carolina. He joined the
association in 2010 and has worked in aging services for the past 15 years. He
was a 2007 Fellow with the inaugural LeadingAge Leadership Academy program and
continues his service with them as past president of the LeadingAge Alumni
Network. He serves as a member of the Executive Committee and as Treasurer for
Value First, a purchasing organization owned by LeadingAge and 25 of its state
affiliates. A Kansas native, Tom has a bachelor’s degree from Emporia State
University and was a licensed nursing home administrator in Kansas.
Leslie Roseboro serves as Vice President of LeadingAge North Carolina. She has been with the association since 2007. Prior to joining the association, she worked in administration at a member retirement community for nine years. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and her Master's of Public Administration degree from North Carolina Central University. Leslie is a North Carolina native and resides in Durham with her husband and two children.
