This workshop will provide an update on current issues for CFOs and accounting professionals in non profit long term care organizations in NC and is in the field of "Specialized Knowledge” as defined by the NASBA. Registrants may sign up for the Ethics and Conduct Training only, the CFO Workshop only, or the Full Program.

Professional Ethics and Conduct Training
Using discussion, examples and case studies, this
course examines the CPA’s role in the modern economy, standards of ethical
conduct for management accountants, the four basic concepts of ethics in
accounting, and the AICPA’s rules on independence. Also highlighted are the ten most common violations of North
Carolina statutes and rules for CPAs.
The course examines current problems with earnings management in
financial statements
This course fulfills
the State Board’s annual two-hour ethics CPE requirement. The two-hour ethics
course is required for annual license renewal for North Carolina CPAs and does
not qualify one to obtain an original or reciprocal certificate.
An additional 2.0 CPE will be provided for
those attending the course. Credit for the course will be handled
by the NC Association of Certified Public Accountants to offer the course.
